I am Pissed. I just read an article by Mr. Scott MacFarlane.

It talks about the government starting the legal paperwork necessary to seize the property of Mr. Randy Musser of Somerset County to build the Flight 93 Memorial.

I am really wondering if stealing property from someone is really a good way to start a Memorial to Freedom. It seems to me that if our own government is going to do things like this then the Terrorist factions can all go home now because they have won.

There is probably a measure of greed involved with the present land owner, but it is his land to do with as he pleases… or at least that is how I thought it was supossed to be in America.

I could go on and on about the eminent domain statutes, but the bottom line is that taking that property isn’t going to effect our National Defense, bail out our economy or help save lives and properties. It’s just going to put a feather in the cap of Steve Whitesell and other government officials like him by meeting their deadlines.

According to Mr. Scott MacFarlane, in an exclusive interview, Steve Whitesell, the department’s Associate Director for Lands Management and Planning, said the use of eminent domain was necessary to ensure the memorial opens by September 11, 2011. Whitesell said, “We’re at the deadline. We need to start
proceeding with construction.”

We can have those deadlins screwed up now can we?

I urge you all to email Mr. Whitesell and other Dept.of the Interior executives along with your state Senators and Representatives to protest this act of theft on behalf of our government.
